To innovate or not to innovate breakfast? That is the question. There was a great article in the NYT recently about how great restaurants are now opening their doors for brunch and offering some really innovative twists on traditional breakfast dishes. While we’ve tried a few interesting things here (melon with basil anyone?), we find guests like a more traditional approach to breakfast with a little small twist, but nothing super weird or fancy. While sometimes Mary Ellen would like to try weird things, Eric - the official taste-tester of the Sea Spray Inn - always brings her down to Earth, and back to more mainstream menu items. Should we be more adventuresome? Would you be happy with multigrain pancakes or a version of huevos rancheros?
